Meet Taffy – our original mini superstar! Standing at a charming 9.2hh, Taffy is Tracey’s very first miniature horse, and he’s been making a big impact in the world of Equine Happiness visits for years. Around 13 years old (though his exact age is a bit of a mystery), Taffy’s gentle nature and easy-going personality make him the perfect companion for those in need of a little extra joy.

Taffy is all about the love – he’s calm, relaxed, and always ready to share cuddles. He’s a favourite in nursing homes, where he brings smiles and comfort to everyone he meets. Food is his passion, especially apples and carrots, but we keep an eye on his weight because mini horses can pack on the pounds quickly! When he’s not munching or visiting, Taffy enjoys a good walk.

Taffy’s affection for children and sweet nature make him the perfect therapy companion. He’s the one who started the Giddy Up Taffy and Friends program, and he’ll always leave you with a smile. He’s the heart of the herd and the true star of our team!

Black Overo, mare (girl), 7.2hh, 14yrs old

Meet Prada, the pocket-sized powerhouse of our herd! At just 7.2hh, this mare may be small in stature, but she’s got a BIG personality. Prada is super sweet and always ready to greet you with a cuddle and a nose smooch. If she had her way, she’d probably curl up in your lap for a nap, and we wouldn’t mind one bit!

Prada’s all about the love, especially when it comes to green apples and carrots - her absolute favourite treats. She’s the first to meet you in the paddock, and trust us, she’s got a charm that will make your heart melt. Prada is a true diva with an infectious personality, and she’s known for loving a good selfie. So, be sure to grab your phone – she’s always up for a snap!

Prada’s comfortable around people of all ages and abilities, always calm and focused, even in tricky situations. Whether it’s loud noises, wheelchairs, walkers, cars, or other animals, Prada handles it all with grace and poise.

Black Palouse, Gelding (boy),10hh, 1.5yrs old

Meet Benjamin Buttons, or Benji, as we affectionately call him. He may have started off as the baby of the herd, but somehow, he’s grown into the tallest member of the crew! He had plans to stay small, but someone clearly forgot to tell him that. Despite his growth spurt, Benji proves that even the youngest can do big things. When the mini zoomies take over the paddock, guess who’s leading the pack? Yep, it’s Benji, racing around with impressive speed and showing off some serious jumping skills.

Benji’s journey has been anything but ordinary. He came to us as an unhandled 6-month-old weanling, scared of humans due to a lack of interaction in his first months of life. But, fast forward, and he’s now the sweetest, most affectionate little pony you’ll ever meet. He’s all about human love and will happily follow you around like a little lost puppy, always eager for a cuddle and a bum scratch.

He’s got a bright future ahead of him, and we can’t wait to see where his journey takes him as he steps into the role of the next Equine Assisted Wellness superstar.
